I only have a 20 gb hard drive which means that I either have to install/uninstall the game every single time I play it or I have to play from the disk which I'd rather not since the xbox is much quieter when the game is installed and i'm worried that burned disks would kill the laser quicker...

My question is: is it okay to use the Verbatims I usually burn and play from the disks? Or should I buy 120gb and install games there?

If they are Verbatims made in Singapore, I'd say you would be fine because of the quality of the dye. But having the 120gb is nice too. You can buy the Western Digital drive that can be flashed to work with the 360.

How hard is it to flash it? The guy who flashed my X360 said he didn't look into it yet so he wouldn't know how and i would certainly not be up to it myself...

There should be some good tutorials out there on how to do it. I know it is not very hard. Pretty much booting to a USB drive and typing "hddhackr.exe -f" (or something like that).
