Hey everyone, I'm looking to flash my 360 with the new firmware. I had it sent out before to a place in Canada to get it done and it cost me well over a hundred dollars and worked great. now with this new firmware that I need to flash they want close to $100 with the shipping and everything. so I think I'm going to give it a try myself. I've been reading and reading and reading (hehe) and I think I got a pretty good grasp of what I need to do. I've figured out my drive is a samsung, I've downloaded Jungleflasher 1.62, the tutural and I'm about ready to order a PCI Sata controller Chipset VT6421A ($35) I think I still need to find the JungleFlasher Firmware Pack. Anyone know where i can grab this? Also is there anyone that willing to give me hand on flashing it would be great. oh and is there a site or pictures on how to take apart the 360 to get the drive out? I seen a picture a few minutes ago inanother thread about pusing in the tabs to open it up.

Do you know if its ms25 or ms28? Flashing a toshiba-samsung is very easy..especially if its a ms25 (no firmguard). You can download the firmware pack from xbins.

I dont think you can tell without opening the xbox up to access the drive. There is a sticker on the top which will tell you which one it is.
MS25's are older but easier to flash. If you want instructions on how to flash, the Jungleflasher user guide is really good and explains everthing in detail.

am I looking for this, IXtreme 1.6 0800 firmware for Benq, Samsung and Liteon drives?? I thought i was looking for a jungle flasher firmware pack?? Thanks for the help.

In xbins go to firmware - hacked firmware and (assuming you have a TS-h943) go to that directory and download Samsung_iXtreme-THX_v1.6.rar. That is the firmware you want if you want to go for 1.6
