I am getting a new Xbox 360aracde in some days.so I was wondering as to how would i download games and install them back in the hard disk.can u provide me proper guidelines for installing the game in the hard disk and how to burn from the scratch a Xbox 360dvd form the downloaded files
The other thing is that i was wondering if a game is region free then does it work on both ntsc and pal version.one more thing related to this is when the Xbox has been modded then practically all games work weather or not Ntsc or Pal? it wouldn't accept a orginal dvd of the other version in case ntsc wont accept pal and pal wont accpet ntsc right?
something like that right? please help me out here..i am excited to get my xbox in couple of days

If you are getting a new XBOX 360, then it will have the Lite-ON drive. The Lite-ON drive requires additional hardware (key reader probe/spear) to get the information off of the drive. Then you flash it with iXtreme so you can play your back-up copies. If the game is region free, you can play it on NTSC or PAL. With NXE dashboard, all you have to do is click Y when you have the game inserted, and then select install to hard drive. The game must be in the 360 each time you want to play it though.

so as in you saying that once i get hold of my xbox i will have to flash it at any cost ? the purpose of such is just so that i can play the games on my hard disk right and where can i find that Ixtreme flashing software ..
Once i do all that.i read that at times u require the dvd as well to play with the installed game on hard disk ? is it true
What about making a game dvd..there must be a procedure right..assuming i get a iso file ..what will be my next step and all ..please help me out
i am trying my hard to understand the concept of each topics.well itz really hard to start with without the xbox itslef.I stay down here in India so forget that i can get the instruments like those required "video tutorials i made for liteon drive" .Isn't it easier to get it modded rather then such pain? i mean is there any drawback for such modded chips used or what?coz if i get it modded then i can practically play all the games weather ntsc or pal .same thing happens when the lite on is flashed right or is there any difference..what is preferable in both?leave the part where i said itz hard to get those stuff and money is of no issues..so which is better option here?

If it is hard to get the hardware in you area, you might want to have somebody go ahead and do it for you.
With a Lite-ON you need:
Key reader (Maximus Spear, CK3 Probe, or a homemade probe)
DVD connectivity kit (optional with the homemade probe, but required with for the spear or probe)
Compatible SATAchipset (some onboard might work or the VIA SATA card with the 6421 chipset)
With the BenQ, Samsung, or Hitachi:
Compatible chipset to dump the firmware DVD connectivity (optional but makes it easier so you don't have to use the XBOX 360 to power the drive)
You will dump your key and info and inject it into iXtreme firmware and flash your custom iXtreme firmware back to your drive. This will allow you to play a back-up game. No mod chips involved.
