ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FOLLOW THIS AND YOU WILL SEE HOW EASE IT IS TO SCAN YOUR BOX
after you see this screen you will get another with a list of areas choose legacy channels from
the top then press ok let the box do the rest thats it

Hi e45,can you help me please. I have followed your instructions to the letter but am getting nowhere. All is fine until I get to the last screen, or rather dont get to the last screen. I dont get the legacy screen just a message "complete (EXIT). What am I doing wrong?

Factory default the box
1 next screen you get is easy installation
2 select the bottom option auto search click ok to that
3 if you are on NT$ DO NOT TOUCH ANY SETTINGS AND JUST PRESS THE GREEN BUTTON ONLY
4leave the box to do what is required
5 next screen you will get your options to choose from legacy is for NT$
press ok to this and leave the box to the rest by itself

I'm getting to #4 which is fine but it's not giving me the option to choose #5.
I already have a box that scanned perfectly. This one is for my father and not scanning as it should.
Would it be a faulty box??

Am in the same position, after the point 4 re scan, i get already exist for each at the add tp list, then it doesnt pick up any channels when scanning, and goes to complete(exit).
I think the ntl might be down but not sure, was watching the ireland game and all of a sudden no/bad signal came up and the clock on the box went to --.--. Anyone with similar experiences?
Also if you factory default the box, does that mean you have to download the software again?

No you dont have to load the firmware again
if you press the yellow button at point 2 to add the tp or you change any of the settings in step 2 you will get this problem
you need to just press the green button only on step 2 not touching any of the settings
step 2 should be top ntl next down network thats it
you will need to factory default your box fully if you have changed any of these settings

I'm currently watching my own box and working fine so can't imagine it's the provider thats causing it!
I'm literally plugging one out and replacing it with new one and no joy

Thanks e45, still no luck im afraid
all is fine until the very end, im not getting a list of areas choose legacy channels from
the top
all i get is complete[exit]
This is weird because literally an hour ago the box was working perfectly.

Comes up
Add TP list and goes up to 7 already exists
Then Automatic search page
TP 8/8
Siganl Strenght 56
Complete then comes up and (exit)

Am in the exact same boat as you, whatever it is we're obviously doing the same thing wrong. I have a feeling (hope) it may be an nthell issue as the analog cable channels in my bedroom tv arent really working either.

And e45's steps worked perfectly on the other boxes??
I see on the other thread, another person sjj had the exact same problem as us, but after a while it appeared to work ok.

Save yourself. I tried both today and still no joy.
Channels are a bit iffy the last 2 days. Maybe it is signal or something. Still find it a bit strange though seen as how my original box is working plus i did a scan with it today and scanned fine!

i had same problem.off the box that is working get the frequencies that the channels are working on and then enter them manually on the other box

Tried the rescan today and worked perfectly, back in business so happy days. It was def due to the nthell been down last night as i just have the cable plugged into a portable in my room and the basic cable channels were down as well last night. All back in business now though. Thanks.
