Hello,
I found a 360 in the parking lot of my job of all places. Taken all apart everything is in order, with the exception of the controller card on the Hitachi drive. (it looks like something exploded) Anyway I have been searching for info on a solution to replacing a drive needing a controller card as well but no luck. I have successfully replaced 360 drives before swapping the controller cards, so that is not the issue. I know that controller cards are specific to the console that is whats making it difficult to phrase in a search. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

So is the PCB board of the Hitachi missing or do you have it?

I have it, but it looks like a ink pen exploded (dark blue over a portion of the card)

That is probably epoxy and that is to keep people from desoldering the TSOP chip and reading the firmware.

Does it happen to look like this?

That is epoxy and is normal from Microsoft. Does the Hitachi drive eject and close?

The tray is missing, but it makes the noise like it would open/close.
