I have been trying to flash my kreon drive with iXtream 1.6 firmware for a few days now but i cant hack it! lol these are the methods i have been through jungleflasher but when i try to load Ixtream 1.6 it says its not compatible with the kreon fw and also iprep i tryed to flash through dos i get through everything untill where it says press enter power off 360 drive. I have never got to the flashing stage even if i follow the textbook08 for n00bs and the jungleflasher tatorial i have a ms28 already flashed with the kreon v1.00 fw mounted into my pc but no 360 it self connect to pc.. can someone please help so i can sort out what im doing wrong and right. Thanks

Can you clarify your question..

The KREON firmware is not for 360 drives, its hacked firmware for certain Samsung drives (eg SAMSUNG SH-D162D) that allows it to read xbox 360 games

iExtreme firmware is used to play backup game DVD's on the 360. 1.6 has been released with 0800 support to allow you to connect it to a PC but its not Kreon firmware

Also what drive is it you want to mod and what do you want your end result to be?

well i have a samsung SH-D162D and i want to be able to backup my new games like resident eveil 5 but the kreon v1.00 wont backup any of the high detailed games well i think because when i tryed to backup RE5 or fallout3 it will get to about 10-50% and then stop reading but say if i tryed to backup a low detailed game like The Godfather it works fine and makes a complete backup so what firmware do i use? and is there a way to update the kreon or Ixtream to read RE5 and high detailed games?

I found out the diffrece between a kreon drive and 360 drive. i have a samsung sh-d162 help appreciated with questions.....^^^^

High detailed games should not have an effect on why the rip failed. Check the disc and make sure no major scratches or anything like that.

The games i rip are always new just bought from EBgames, Some games just dont rip and god knows why, they read 10-50% than stop. My samsung drive is pretty much brand new so i cant see why is shouldnt burn.. Please Help

What SATA chipset are you using?

Are you running any other programs while ripping?

Im using a VIA RAID 3249 but my kreon drive is an IDE would that make much diffrence my drive come pre flashed with kreon fw. But i dont always have it plugged in to the sata controller to rip games does that matter?

I would try the 5.30c driver for the VIA SATA card.

hello,
i have a kreon samsung drive that I have been using to back up my own games for a few years now. But I just bought ufc undisputed and I can not back it up with xbox backup creator 2.9. it stops at 85%. does anyone have an idea to fix it.
