There is a fix for the dreambox, on cable and mmds, for nt hell and korus, its a hypercam fix,and has also been rolled into a flash image , so no reason why it cant be modded to work on The box/ Starview, if its not out yet , give it time, although im no expert on these boxes, so it depends if the files can be FTP'd or flashed to them. But bottom line is , the fix for Ireland is out, just depends if you got the right box. Luckly i do. DreamOn.

the firmware is a bit different on the dream and the SV, SV is closed source whereas the dream is open, so unless you have the source you cant change the firmware

@ steo, different beast the linux stuff, Linux is open source code, for example the Western Media Digital hub, is made by Western Digital, but the source code is Linux Open source, so some peeps went off and created their own firmware which turned the box from a media player into a streaming media player, the dreambox etc works the same way, anyone with the Linux knowledge can work with the firmware, unfortunatly, the SV and such are closed source,

Others are linux so anyone could give it a go, you have to be a programmer or something for closed source it looks impossible.

I'm enjoying watching the starview 2 with the fix someones friend had done by someone that doesn't exist (the fix),
What's the point in people making up stupid rumours getting peoples hopes up than they multipost asking the same question in a new thread and others do the same = 7 threads saying is there a fix.... to be told eh... NO.
