Hi guys. I have managed to get the original firmware from the lite on. It is saved on my computer. The problem is that when i went to erase the lite on, my computer froze and now I cant get Jungleflasher to recognize the drive at all. I have a 6421 Sata card on Win XP. I have tried removing the viamraid.sys driver but havent had any luck. Windows recognizes my card as VIA 3421 though aswell. I cant understand that. Any help guys will be much appreciated.

You'll need to create a bootable USB drive. There is a tutorial in my signature on how to make one. Open up JF and go ahead create your custom ix1.6 firmware bin (ix1.6 + your DVDkey). Save it and put it on the USB drive along with DosFlash16 version 1.7. DosFlash16 folder contains 2 files, dosflash.exe and dosflash.typ.

Boot to the jump drive and type dosflash.exe
It should recognize your Lite-ONs flash chip, either MXIC or Winbond/NEX
Select the corresponding number
Type W for write
Type the name of the bin you saved. example: Lite_CFW.bin

Should write the firmware.

You don't need iPrep because it will want to run you through a bunch of batch files. Once you have prepared your USB drive, restart your computer and your BIOS might have an option for a boot menu. If not, you will need to change the settings in your BIOS to boot the USB drive first.

Normally I would say resend the Lite-ON erase command in JF but if it is recognizing it as a 3249, JF might not see the SATA ports.
