i going to spoof my benq drive as a lite-on drive as the benq came out of a RROD and no drive key but has been flashed before im just getting a bit muddled up do i put the key bin or the dummy bin what iv took off the lite-on in the source firmware and what will i put in the target firmware do i use a lite-on ix or a benq ix firmware I will be incredibly grateful for any help

I'd assume you'd put your lite on firmare in the source and the benq firmware in the target and match up the dvd keys.

I've never swapped drives before but that would be my guess.

look in the jungleflasher pdf or search, you're bound to find something

thats wat i was going to do use a benq ix target firware but just before i write it to the benq drive just need to no as the key is off a lite-on what target to use lite-on or benq ix firmware

So you want to replace the Lite-ON with a BenQ??

Do you have a dummy bin or even a dvd key?

yes m8 iv got both of them got them useing the ck3 and prob kit to read the lite-on drive

Didn't the guys that created ixtreme say that the lite-on had different commands that it sent back to m$ over live, which would make it risky to spoof a lite-on w/something other than another lite-on? just curious if this was the case you might want to consider getting another lite-on better safe than sorry.

Read the Lite-ON drive DVDkey/data and then flash it with Lite-ON firmware!
