1080HD isn't ticked in the specifications so i'd imagine it's 720p

Consoles:

XBOX360 Falcon console with Lite-On 74850C

PS3 80gb phat model with 120gb hdd

PS3 60gb model

If its only an extra 80euro i would pay it. You might aswell go for the better model. I have a 1080i tv and my friend has an full hd and i do see the difference. Its only a slight difference though

1080p will give you progressive scan which smooths out the picture on bluray and xbox, wont make any difference to normal tv or hd tv at the moment, but worth the extra for the future

Thats because it has upscaling capability. I presume your referring to the samsung model which they're selling real cheap in the electrical stores. It is supposed to upscale the picture from SD to HD. Only problem I found with these is that they don't play VCD's but will play H.264 and Divx.

It's not a samsung tv I was referring to but a samsung DVD player with upscaling. I would imagine you can change that either through settings or press one of the colour buttons and see if one of them is a shortcut button for picture setup. Usually is one of them.

And maybe check that the settings for TV are the same on DVD plyer and TV settings.

the idea with upscaling was because normal dvd's looked so bad on large lcd screens through a scart, the hdmi will digitally scale the resolution up, a lot of movies arent broadcast in 16/9, there in 20/9 so thats why it doesnt fill the screen
