So yea, I've heard of this little rumor about the wii remote getting updated to better work with FPS's. Just wondering if anyone got some real sources on this. I heard via word of mouth so I'd like to see some stuff.

Basically this is what I heard. People keep complaining about the setup on the wii for FPS's. They made some improvements but it never really feels right. So what is to be done is to add an analog stick to the wii remote. That way you will have the nunchuck analog stick to walk/strafe, wii remote analog stick for COARSE turning aiming and the pointer obviously to aim. I think its a great idea... gives people the response they have grown used to and comfortable with and still allows you to use the wii remote pointer.

I've heard some ideas about the wii remote being slightly changed (just the analog stick) and something a bit different (analog stick, 2 triggers, 2 buttons rather than just A in that spot)

Anyone heard anything about this? I really hope its true. If so, the wii will have far superior control in FPS's than PS3/360 for sure as it will have dual analog PLUS wii point and shoot.

If anyone heard about this and got some resources, please post. My google searches aren't showing anything promising...

Don't forget that the Wii is mostly for motion sensing games, this idea will restrict some of the movement.
