Digivox xl usb

Just got a Digivox xl usb and it seems to be dead, its just showing 4 green dots on the unit, nothing on tv screen. anyone any ideas before i contact supplier.

not too sure myself still having problems myself but what firmware did you put on it where you from? etc

Alright Rob. Got F/W from Eamos. Funny thing is i flashed 10 and the rest are ok, reminds me of the problem with the old Eurovox which just went into standby and needed to be j-tagged, i think the problem with that was corrupt F/W. Ill send it back ,cheers.

how would you recommend them in a rate of 1-10

Bit early to rate them. As for set up, use the usb to D/L F/WARE, its super fast towards null cable. Major plus towards the KV is the remote, it works as a remote should and the price is good. All in all time will tell which unit is better but at this moment the 2 of them are working which is a major+++++ and in my opinion id buy a DIGI cause of the dodgy KV remote.

hey i got my digivox xl usb when i goto system info and key in 1004 the hidden menu wont come up to enable key code any ideas?

hi scouser
have you any ideas how to get sky sports etc and movies as it seems i have few channels.
do i scan on all letters as per instruction 9.
i have scanned box on cc which shows 1/88 channels i presumme.
do i just leave it when it finished scanning as i cannot get to 1004 to turn on key
insruction 10 i cant get at all.

DIGIVOX XL USB BOX ONLY
YOU CAN UPDATE THE BOX VIA NULL MODEM CABLE OR USB DEVICE
TO UPDATE WITH USB DEVICE
1 PLUG THE USB DEVICE IN WITH BOX SWITCHED OFF
2 TURN BOX ON GO TO MENU AND ON THE BOTTOM LAST SELECTION USB
3 CLICK OK ON USB YOU SHOULD SEE THE FILE YOU PUT ON THE USB DEVICE SHOWING ON SCREEN
4 HIGHLIGHT IT AND PRESS OK YOU WILL THEN GET THE POP UP OPTION TO CANCELL OR YES PICK YES
5 WHEN YOU SELECT THIS YOU WILL GET ANOTHER SCREEN WITH THE DOWNLOAD BAR ON IT
6 IT TAKES A FEW SECONDS FOR ANYTHING TO HAPPEN SO JUST LEAVE IT DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING ON REMOTE
7 DO NOT DISCONNECT FROM THE POWER EITHER WHILE IT IS UPDATING
8 AFTER THIS IS FINISHED THE BOX WILL REBOOT JUST LEAVE IT AND LET IT DO IT
9 AFTER YOU SEE THE MENU AGAIN GO TO INSTALLATION AND CHOOSE PROVIDER AND SCAN THERE ARE ONLY LETTERS HERE
10 AFTER IT HAS SCANNED FOR THE CHANNELS GO TO MENU SYSTEM INFO AND PRESS OK THEN 1004 ON KEY PAD TURN KEY ON
11 EXIT TO MAIN TV AND ALLOW THE BOX TO UPDATE

after scanning the screen goes blank.
i manually exited back to tv and i have living +1 but no living
i have no movies or sports
the system information says
32214 in first line and will not allow me scroll down
last updated 23 june 2009 is bottom line
but i cannot follow instruction 10 above?

After going to system info, make sure you press OK, before pressing 1004.
You may need to do a factory reset and rescan as you has tried the wrong firmware on it a few times. But try above first.

can any1 send me a copy of there data file off there usb stick with every channel on it for digivox xl usb, as im missing the adult channel on it and cant get it in
i done an automatic scan and ive tried to manually scan it in on frequency 355500, same as box usb but it wont come in,

its the same when i done my box super usb during the daytime i always missed out on 2 channels when doing a scan but after 10pm i get all channels when i do a manual scan.
