Where's the X360 modding tutorial sticky? (for playing backups)

I seem to be a bit behind so I'm going to be a noob and just ask. How's it done?
Are we still doing the dvd drive firmware hacks, or have we moved on to something better?
Just checked, I have the BenQ drive fyi.

Well in my defence, "Ultimate sticky" is a bit vague wouldn't yah say. Only 1 in 50 people would actually click it.
Judging by the hostility in your post you guys get a lot of these threads.. proving my point.

if it was just 'modding tuts' then it wouldnt be correct, as there is more than just modding tuts in the ultimate sticky, hence why its called the ultimate sticky.

Yes flashing is still the main way to mod a 360. Have a read through The Jungle Flasher Guide for details on how to do it.
I do also agree that the ultimate sticky needs updating, there have been quite a few good guides written recently (Thanks Leerage), we still have DOS versions on how to flash iExtreme 1.2 in there

As we often find on these forums, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. All you have to do is click on the sticky link, it won't bite you, and the name/contents are self explanatory.

Leerage recently asked me to add his 3 new tut's to the Ultimate sticky so they're in there, but i have no idea what half of the stuff in there actually means as i've never modded my own 360's, so it's up to you guys to advise what's out of date and thus needs removing from the Ultimate sticky...
