hitachi 79 problems with JF

Im using jungle flasher and im able to get my hitachi 79 FL in to mode B using jungle flasher. But then it begins to scan for hardware changes. At this point my hitachi drive ejects and then Jungle flasher says no hitachi drives were detected. Anyone know what the problem may be? I am using a 6421 chip set. =/

Try hitting the refresh button a couple of times. I just did a 79 the other day and had the same issue. Ejected the tray and sent Mode B and said the drive responded normally but no Hitachi was found. Hit refresh and still no Hitachi. Hit refresh 1 more time and the Hitachi 79 was found.

I was also using the VIA 6421 card with the 5.30c driver installed. I used WinAPI to read and flash the drive.

i always use slax to get hitachi's into mode b, i know its a bit more messing about but it works everytime, then proceed with the unlock cd manually
