Can anyone find me a solution for my problem? Here is my situation, I tried to flash my lite-on to 1.6 for the first time but I accidentally erase my lite-on without getting the key and any other backups. This gave me a situation where my xbox couldn't eject and 1 RROD. However I was able to recover the drive by dos using the l-o-eras method and no trouble ejecting. NOW, for the real problem, after I recover my lite-on, I couldn't play any games at all. What should I do?? Could I extract the dvdkey in this situation and make my xbox work again? I tried to search every single information but none of them given me single hope. Ok..let me summarise my problem in point.
1.Accidentally erased - can't eject tray + 1 RROD = solved
2.Couldn't play any games = not solve
3.No backups such as key, inquiry, dummy
Any guide??

thats a easy one friend, here is a five step guide on how to recover your console and play backups.
step 1 put your walking shoes on.
step 2 walk to walmart and buy a new console.
step 3 walk back home.
step 4 read firmware of new drive.
step 5 save firmware. (so when you screw this one up because you wont read the guide you can recover it without repeating step 1 thru 5 again.)
I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!

Does it ever?
You now have a DVD player in an xbox shell. Welcome to the world of modding and playing with firmware when you have little experience in such things.

Actualy there is a way of getting the Key from your motherboard with inFeCtuS. since i have never screwd a drive and never had to use infecturs so i dont know how to use it. you might want to do some research on how to use it to get your DVD key of the motherboard and then flash it into your DVD Drive.
InFeCtuS
either learn to use infectus or get a new 360 and make sure you save the Dummy.bin 3rice =)

Don't you have to have a working DVD drive to even use that chip?

no flippin idea since i never used it but i know that you can change the Key on the motherboard to match the one on the DVD drive.

Wow this is pretty bad. I mean I'm pretty dumb, bricked my Hitachi during my first flash, but even I still got the key and stuff off of it and have a new drive incoming. No 360 grill for me :)

Wow, some attitude. I was just joking around. Unlike yourself, my first reaction to viewing his post wasn't "how can I make this guy feel like a dick by ridiculing him?" All I was doing was making light of the "superb" advice everyone was giving him. Not to mention, I'm definitely not the only one that didn't contribute anything to help the op, in fact, you could say I was defending him. I guess I didn't know by acting condescending as you did was considered help.

the 3rrod has a three year warranty. i don't think the lite-on drives been out for three years. its only been out for 10 months i think. well anyway he probably is still under warranty. so yea just slap the warranty stickers on and send it in. oh and dont forget that silver warranty sticker that is right underneath the dvd drive.
