Does anyone have a tutorial or a link to a tutorial that explains how to rip my 360 games onto my pc using my 360 console? I have ixtreme 1.6 and I can't find a tutorial anywhere. If one has already been posted just reply with a link. Thanks.
you must not have searched extensively. for example, i typed in "rip 360 games" into the search box and got several results. i appologize if your search bar is broken. here is a link if it is.
Which ix1.6 do you have? The one for online play or dedicated ix1.6 0800? If you have ix1.6 for online play, you will need to eject your drive, shut it off, push the tray half way in, and then turn it back on. That should get it into 0800 mode and will allow you to rip games. If you have dedicated ix1.6 0800, then you won't have to do anything. Windows should automatically recognizes it. At that point you can use programs such as Schtrom v4.0 or XBOX Backup Creator v2.9 to rip your games. ix1.6 0800 is only available for BenQ, Lite-ON, and Samsung. You can also purchase a Kreon drive that fits into your PC. Look in the Ultimate sticky and look at cheez's FAQ.
Wow homesick, I didn't name this thread "be a complete douchebag". I searched Google, and I got a terrible tutorial on youtube, and every other tut involved opeing the DL burner. I don't have a samsung drive flashed with Kreon either. I was hoping to start a thread on Afterdawn for others when they search for the same thing on Google. But now they are going to read my question followed by an arrogant prick's answer who needs laid or something.
Sorry for the late reply. There is dedicated ix1.6 0800 firmware that you can flash to your drive. Otherwise if you use ix1.6 for online play, you will have to eject the drive, shut it off, push it in half way, and return power to the drive. That should get the drive recognized by the computer and you will be able to rip games.
If you flash ix1.6 0800 firmware to the drive, you will need to flash ix1.6 back to the drive before you go online.
