lol...
There could be several factors that are involved. I would suggest doing a little more research with google about bridging connections and what not.
Personally, I would just run a darn cable to the XBOX 360 from the router and be done with it.

Or if you have enough shorter cables (10, 15, 25 footers), just use a coupler to join them together.

you have one hell of a router if its pushing out a signal over a range of two miles. either that or you just found where your problem is at.

may i suggest a linksys with dd-wrt wirless bridge i got this rockin for my set up
Modem>Wrt-150n(DD-WRT)(upstairs)>WAP 54G(200 ft Cat 5 Upstairs From 150n)>Wireless link (WRT54g) Got a computer 2 xboxes running off ipod iphone all good =]
