Ok the thing is that my lite-on drive has no fw because i was dumb so im left with a dvd player and im asking if there is any : modchip , service , anything i can do o get my key back.

yea but its always newbiews asking how to fix the problem, so one would think that they dont bother reading anything before attempting to flash the drive. perhaps if people would take 30 minutes to watch a couple of video tuts, or read the JF tut, then they wouldnt have this problem at all.

This has always been the case, Lite-ons have always been the hardest, and always will be until they release yet another "unhackable" drive.
That being said, they are still not that hard, there are plenty of tutorials, and huge WARNINGS regarding ensuring you have the key before you erase.
I think the increase is Warranty's are now starting to expire for lite-ons, so people are starting to flash them with little or no knowledge beforehand, and just being plain Dumb!

its not that im a newbie (ive hacked several benqs , sammys ,hitachis and 2 lite-ons) its just that i formated my usb drive . with the key inside
