Hello I have psp's for years from phat to thin. My last psp was a slim and lite which I modded using a pandora's battery no problem. I then went off the psp front I defected to a ds which was good but the games are more kiddy than cool. So I have decided to think about buying a new psp. When I went to my local game staion they have two choice's which I am un sure of. These are

what looks like the new latest psp. it was in a small box and came in many colours i.e red, some blue which looked cool. the model number on the box said psp 3003 so i assumed this was the latest version?

Next to it was a true slim and lite in the same size a style box which looked the same as my last psp. The man in the shop didnt know what he was talking about as he said they are both the same which they clearly weren't

My question is which has probally been asked F*** loads of times is the brand brand new psp's in the funky colours can not be modded to CFW which will do everything like CSO's/ISO's and the load Slim & Lite can? I still have my homemade pandora's bat which is cool.
I know this thread is long but please answer as I have looked at the other threads and cant not fully make up my mind. some say you can put ltd cwf on some say you cant. Thanks

if also you have any links to prevous threads it would be good.

pandora batterys that are currently on the market are no good you can only mod it as a temp, i mean using it while its on or in sleep mode if battery goes flat or you turn it off then you have to redo the mod http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/781188

the pandora bat i made was from a phat psp on my last slim and lite i flashed it using the pandora battery, once modded i used original bat until i sold it. I only use pandora bat to flash so I am unsure in what you mean. What i want to know if same will work on new psp's and how can you tell how new a new psp is i.e box marking, codes, editions that have been brought out

hey ,

due to an IPL ( use google ) issue there's no way to install CFW into the flash ( internal memory, ) , also the new motherboards : TA088v3 ( the latest PSPs - 2000 Slim have it ) and TA090 ( the newest PSPs - 3000 have it ) will block the pandora, so there's no way to enter service mode yet.

BUT , you can install CFW by following my guide in my siggy ... read the INTRO section first , please .
