hi i brought a benq xbox 360 pre flashed in nov 2007 so not sure what ixtreme fw its is maybe 1.1 and i wanted to know if i can play 3 rd wave games or do i have to patch theam first hope someone can help

Does not matter if you play the game offline. As soon as you plug your Ethernet Cable back in and log into XBL the info gets sent to M$.

Even so, it is easier just to get it flashed to 1.6 and not have to worry about patching.

yea, you should just reflash it. it will take around 10 minutes for you to do it, and i imagine it takes around 5 minutes to patch a game, so it will definitely be worth it.
