I burned a game using Imgburn. It was successful and shows up in the Wii menu. After pressing start it shows "Error #001, unauthorized device has been detected."

Does anyone have an idea why this happens?
(I had to do an update on the wii right after putting the cd in, would that have anything to do with it?)

1. Sotmod or hardmod?
2. Wii software level
3. Game same region as your console?

1. It's a hardmod, it was put in a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure it was Wiikey.
2. Not exactly sure how to figure out the software level but in the system settings it does say Version 3.4U if that's what you mean.
3. No I'm guessing the game isn't the same region because the torrent I downloaded said "USA" in the title and I'm from Canada. Should I be downloading torrents that say NTSC-U/C?

Clearly, I'm new at this so try and bare with me... but I do appreciate you taking the time to read and respond. Thank you.
