add my msn so we can talk on there if u got msn... ugotfried@hotmail.com, anyways i dont know how to connect the power cable and it didnt come with one, do i just connect one of the power cabeles from inside my pc?

also when i connect the usb it says "found new hardware" even tho i have alreayd isntalled the vista drivers,

first of all, remove your email from your post (not allowed). second of all, you use a 4 pin molex cable for the power. and if it says found new hardware and you already have the drivers installed, dont worry about it.
btw-- the power issue could have been figured out if you would have searched for a the CK3 user manual/tutorial on their site.

okay sorry but now its working but its sayying on JF "serial data is bad?" also ck3 tool v1.2.4 can't detect the usb device.

make sure in JF that you have the correct COM port selected. i ran into this problem when i first started using it as well. mine was COM3, but i was using the mini-USB instead of the serial cable.
i cant really help you with the ck3 tool app, as i have never used it.

I'm having the same problem with the bad serial data. Also I notice that my green lite on my probe doesn't get real bright. Does it need to be lit up really good? Also I have the ck3 lite and probe. Mine dosen't have any usb plug on it. Also it is a stock lite-on and I am using JF. The only tutorial I could find was to get a lite-on from 1.5 to 1.6. Any help would be appreciated.

yes the correct port is selected in JF< my probes lights are both on blue and green even tho its not touching the hole is this normal?

they shouldnt both be on at the same time. when mine is turned on, but not in the r707 hole its just green. when its in the hole its blue. something might be wrong with yours if they are both lit at the same time. i would send an email to whomever you bought it from, and see what they have to say about it.

at first it was just blue then i touched the hole and it turned green then i took it off and they both stayed on, i have tryedtot urn it off, restarted mycomp but it still stays on both of them.

yeah i had it in the r707 hole at first i tryed it a couple times but then i like scraped it lightly on the green areas of the drives very lightly because i got frustrated then it just stayed green could it of been that and it wasnt hard.

are you sure its the 3 lights and not 4. the first time I mistook the rrod I saw where my av cable had come undone. I wouldn't panic just yet. Look around there are plenty of ways to fix your box if it has not red ringed before.
