POT tweak leads to open tray?

i tried the pot tweak and now it says open tray. do i need to do the rubberban mod? if so can someone post a good guide?

Usually POT calibration is what fixes Open Tray. What was your original setting and how far did you go?

I never had a multimeter so i just guessed how far i should go. i went kinda far (not one full rotation). now when i put it back to where i had it, it says open tray.

You will need a multimeter to read where it is at now and adjust accordingly. You'll have to set the multimeter to 20k ohm and then take a reading. The laser strength should never be below 2.8. Most stock settings are from 4 to 4.5.
