I bought a benq drive on ebay to replace my hitachi 47. Here is the instruction I followed to spoof the drive:
Quote:Using Jungle Flasher version 0.1.64:
1. Load your original Hitachi firmware into source.
2. Load ix1.6 for BenQ into target.
3. Click spoof source to target.
4. Go over to MTKFlash tab and get BenQ into vendor mode.
5. Click write.
6. Should verify OK, and you can shut off the drive and test it out.
Now when I put any 360 game in the drive (backup or original) it reads it as a dvd and tells me that it can play the disc.
The only problem I see is that I used JF 0.1.62 instead of .1.64.
Tried reflashing the drive using 0.1.64, same result. The drive plays dvd movies fine, still no 360 games though - Just thinks they are dvds. I'm all out of ideas... anyone?

Thanks for the reply, and you had the right idea, it was the wrong original fw. sorry for the noobish post I read the JF troubleshooting guide and figured it out, now it's working perfectly!
