any guides on how to get my mobo to accept a hatachi drive?

In Jungle Flasher:

You will need to dump the Hitachi firmware.
Load it into Source in Jungle Flasher.
Load iXtreme 1.6 for Samsung in Target.
Click spoof source to target.
Go to MTKFlash tab and get Samsung in vendor mode.
Write firmware.

I wasnt clear in the title but im trying to replace my old samsung with a hitachi drive but basicaly just do what you said but the opposite?

and do i just put the power cord into my new hitachi to power it on using my samsung mobo?

Flashing Key and Data to the Hitachi is a little bit more difficult. It is covered in the Jungle Flasher tutorial. Your best bet is to spoof the Samsung key to iXtreme 1.51 for Hitachi, and then you Firmware Toolbox to flash.

so all i have to do is spoof my samsung key to the hitachi ixtreme fw and then flash it using firmware toolbox?

Yes, use Jungle Flasher to prepare your firmware.

Load original Samsung firmware into Source of JF.
Load iXtreme 1.51 for Hitachi (ROM Revision) into Target of JF.
Click spoof source to target.
Save custom firmware.

Get drive into Mode B.
Load custom firmware into Firmware Toolbox and flash.

This route is easier than trying to explain the Key and Data flashing in JF
