I have a PSP 1001(B2) that was modded to 3.51 M33 (System Information) by someone else years ago. I've searched the forums for upgrade paths but am totally confused as to the correct path to take; there's so many versions (3.52, 3.40oe, 3.71, 5.00, ...)/options... Additionally, I'm able to play FIFA07 but if I upgrade will I be able to play FIFA09 as well as FIFA07? Anyways, I'm a newbie, any help will be appreciated...
all the links you need are below, make a Magic memory stick no need for pandora as you have m33 firmware, you can upgrade to 5.00m33-4 with this guide and search for a download after you have done this for 5.00m33-6 for the final update, 5.50 GEN-A and 5.50 GEN-B will be needed for the PSN network and the PSN play station store.
Well, I finally got time to start the upgrade. Following your guide, I was able to create a Magic Stick but got stuck on which firmware to install first. BTW, after creating the Magic Memory Stick, "Settings->System Information" still reports 3.51 M33
Per your advice, I skipped the Create Pandora section and this is where I got confused. Do I perform the "How to use Pandora Battery + Magic Memory Stick" section, if so, which update do I install:

Or, should I go directly to "Update & Addon's". Since I'm not at 3.71 M33-2, per guide, should I upgrade to "M33 3.71 Update ver 1.50", first, then to "1.50 Kernel Addon for 5.00" to get to 5.00m33-4?
