Need help with PHAT psp 3.71 updating

Today I made the pandora battery for a psp by following a guide. I also made a majic memory stick. When I load up my majic stick with the battery, I get a screen that says:

Tachyon = 0x003000000, Baryone= 0x00040600
Nand Size = 33554432
Model: PSP Standard

Press X to install 3.71 M33
Press O to install 3.71
Press [] to dump the nand
Press L+R+Start+Home to restore and phisically dump nand <dangerous!>

So far I have tried pressing X;O; and doing [] both firmwares appear to be successfully installed but when I load up the screen, it just gives me the date in the upper right hand corner along with the time. I am lost about what to do here.
