Upgrading Ixtreme 1.51 to 1.6 - BenQ Drive

I currently have 1.51 on my 360 and want to upgrade to 1.6. I haven't modded this before, paid someone to. However, I am a computer tech so this should be simple. I downloaded the firmware and JF 0.1.64. I have downloaded some tutorials but is there any for this newest firmware? Also, my motherboard in my PC is Asus P5n-D, am I able to connect the 360 drive to one of the SATA headers? Any help would be nice

the tuts for firmware dont change, so just use what you have. as for your mobo- you can wait and hope someone here can verify yours works or just take 5 minutes to check for yourself. good luck.

In the tutorial it says to have port IO installed. I have XP 64 bit. What port IO do I install?

EDIT - I see that in the tuts they use a SATA card. I am from Canada, so is there any on Tiger Direct I could use? Help would be much appreciated.
