All the tutorials and guide I've read and watched make this look pretty easy.

Nothing seems to be working right for me.

I have an LU 74 SN Wii with version 4U menu.

I know it's not the best scenario, but it's what I have and I'm sure there are others out there that have been able to run backups and load USB drives, but I keep running into problem.

I got HomeBrew installed pretty painlessly using the following guide but everything since then has been an issue.

1: Copy contents of 'SD Card 1' to SD card.

2: Put card in Wii and go to Data Management > channels > SD Card, then you will get a message saying "Load boot.elf? Select 'Yes'.

3: Install Bootmii v2 as an IOS.

4: Install the Homebrew Channel

5: Remove SD card and save the Bootmii installation to your PC.

6: Delete Bootmii installation off of your SD card and copy contents of 'SD Card 2' to your card.

7: Now put card back in, restart your wii ,start HBC, press home then run Bootmii.

8: The screen will be black for 10 seconds then Wad manager will run.

9: Select uninstall first then install IOS16.wad and do the same for LU64.wad.

10: Go to HB channel and run cIOS38_rev13b-Installer.

11: Done, now you can install a backup loader or usb loader.

I first tried running Backups.

I got the backup loader channel installed, but nothing I burn will play.

Getting Error 324 when I try to launch a backup, regular games play fine, when played from the dik channel or the backup channel.
This points to a media issue in my mind.

I've tried Phillips, Sony and Ridata DVD's + and -.
Burned using Nero and ImgBurn at speed from 1 up to 8 and even on Auto.

Nothing will work. I get 324 everytime.

As I stated before, I have a LU64 SN Wii with V4u Firmeware.

I can't downgrade, I can't install cios rev 7 because it has cIOS38_rev13b.

Some actually said to remove IOS 249, but that suggestion was shot done, by tons of other's.

Nothing works, so I tried a USB loader and I cant get my USB HD to mount.

I've tried Configurable USB, CoverFloader and USB Loader GX, none of them will see the USB Drive.

I've tried both USB ports, still nothing.

I've tried a raw unformulated drive, a FAT32 drive and a WBFS formatted drive done thru WBFS Manager on my PC.

I've tried a WD 500GB MyBook (which is on the compatibility list I saw somewhere) and a USB jump drive.

Do the USB ports need to be activated or something?

I'm pretty sure the ports work, I'm using one of them to charge my rechargeable Wiimotes.

I know both of the drives I tried work, because I use them all the time.

I tried cIOS 222 and Uloader (by Hermes).

cIOS 222 seemed to install properly, but Uloader just hangs on a black screen when I try to install it.

I don't have everything in front of me, but during the installation of cIOS 22 (I think) it asked if I wanted to attach it to 249 or something like that, I wasn't sure about that step, but since that was the default it's the on I went with.

Was this wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks;

Steve
