I've read a bunch of threads about amateurs soldering and was wondering
if removing a chip (Wiikey) is easier then soldering it on.

I don't have to worry about how well it's attached as long as I can get it off. If i can find a 15watt iron I might just try and remove it myself. I'm just thinking that if i'm not adding solder to anything
it's less risky...but I've never soldered beofre so thought I should ask.

Any advice or tips?

just cut the wires and tape it down with electrical tape. if you want to remove them at the soldering points, google soldering removers and find out how to do that. Its easier to remove than soldering it on for sure
