First off Im using CK3 Pro with CK3 probe and i have a lite-on drive. I'm using an onboard Sata port, I have .net framework 3.5 and have installed portIO32 driver. And I have uninstalled Sata driver in device manager. Iam using Jungle Flasher v0.1.64 Beta and trying to update a stock lite-on to ixtreme 1.6.

First try using Jungle flasher I got all the way to where you erase the drive and then the computer froze. Once i restarted the computer and turned on the CK3 again the computer started lagging. So I uninstalled the sata driver in device manager which resulted in no more lagging. then i opened JF and it would not even detect my drive anymore or any Sata ports.

Someone told me i needed to make a bootable usb which i did but it was unsuccessful, when i tryed to boot to it it would say I think"Hardware failure" but any ways i tryed a different method of making a bootable usb. i tryed iprep v8.9 and when i tryed to put the ixtreme firmware in there it would say "no valid firmware loaded". so i have no clue what to do now. I'm obviously a noob at this, so if anybody has a noob guide or video on how to do this it would be great. or u can try to tell me how to do it, whatever works. Thanks.

Normally with onboard SATA, you don't have to remove a driver. What was the name of the driver you uninstalled? Also, can you confirm whether you are using onboard SATA or the VIA 6421 card?

In device manager, right click the VIA SATA card and click update driver software. You will want to do a manual install and want to select the option "have disk" so you can locate the .INF.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NKWNS2OZ

That is 5.30c driver, it has a couple of files and 1 is the .INF, when you do the manual install, select the .INF. Once you have it installed, reboot the PC and then load up JF to see if it detects the VIA SATA ports.

Then you will want to do this:

1. Disable VIA card in Device Manager.
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers and remove "viamraid.sys".
3. Re-enable VIA card in Device Manager.
4. Re-Boot PC.

If you are using an onboard SATA, there shouldn't be any driver to uninstall.

If your onboard SATA is giving you fits, you will need to get the VIA PCI SATA Card with the 6421 chipset.
