Can anybody please help me fix this Raw dump error problem ???

I have a Lg gdr8163b Drive & used it Last year to Back up
My WII Games.....

I'm Not not what Versions of Raw dump & Frameworks i Used to use....
But now I Installed Raw dump 2.0 & Frameworks & soon as it reads the
game, It says ERROR !! You might have a faulty drive
Can some one please tell me why it used to work , and now doesn't ??

Ive tried closing the tray after I start raw dump but still no luck....Do i need a older version of Raw dump .... like 0.4
And if so ..... Where do i get it as i cant find it anywhere.....

Any help would be greatly appreciated .....

Many thanks, Tony ...... edited by ddp

1. Use .Net Framework 2.0 or greater

2. Use Rawdump 2.0

3. Run in safe mode.

If this still fails you may have a bad drive

Tried your Instructions without Success....
Used Raw dump 2.0 & Frame 3.5 ... Also in Safe mode...
And still no good....

And I know my drive is good, Because i Backed up 6 games last year... So it must be the soft ware.....

Plz..... Any suggestions would be great.....
Does anyone have a older version of Rawdump (.04) I can try....??
Is there other ways to back up Wii Games... ??

Thanks Heaps, Tony

What OS are you using? I can only speak to XP but I haven't heard anything strange about Vista.

You can try Friidump 0.4 to see if it gives a different error message.

I still say it points to hardware.

You can't double click on Friidump and expect it to run.

You need to open a command prompt window and run it from a command line.

This is detailed in the readme file.

PROBLEM SOLVED : )

Thanks for your help guys.....it sees it was my drive....
I Removed my Lg gdr8163b Drive & Replaced it with a Lg gdr8164b Drive
And what do you know..... it read my Wii games straight away...
Have dumped like half a dozen games : )

Guess we should never assume things....

Thanks Again, Tony
