Ok, I have modchipped my Wii, 4.0, tried rev 12 and 13a. USB loader works fine but I?m having trouble burning games and more to the point playing them. I'm burning with ImgBurn at low speed and can't see where I?m going wrong. After looking in many forums it seems Verbatim DVD-R is the most reliable disk to use. I've now burnt games with these and I?m still getting the same errors off any backup loader I try. I must be missing something here and the moment someone points it out I'm gonna look like the donut I deserve too!!PLEASE Help me out!!!!!!!!

Can some one PLEASE reply back to this with an idiots guide on how to or something,
Thanks

Little confused here, why go to all these lengths when it's modchipped?

Why would a loader need to be installed? why would he have to go to all these lengths to burn an iso?

I simply burn an iso and put it in my machine. Thats what modchips are for.

the new backup loader being used is called neogamma something or other. You can just install that, I did and it worked fine.

I would reccommend that you go look at the New and Improved Wii Softmod guide. At the end of it, there is a link to a guide that allows you to run backups from the Disc channel.

Go try that and see if your backups load. The process will also give you preloader, and link you to a guide to walk you through installing and using Bootmii if you haven't already.

If you have an actual HARD MOD chip installed you should not be having issues loading backups and you should also not need to use the backup loader. Load your backups through the disc channel. If you have a mod chip installed and cannot load games from the disc channel then your chip is malfunctioning.

IF you only have a softmod installed, you are most likely having issues because your backup loader is older. Or your cIOS file is not the most current or your missing one that is needed.

Either way, going to the guide I mentioned above and following the steps you find by clicking the link at the end will most likely fix your problems whether you have an actual mod chip installed or not.

I have done this process on Wii's with mod chips, and Wii's without and both ways allowed me to load up backup discs from the disc channel just fine, use the usb loader, and run the HBC and wadmanager for installing VC and Wii Ware.

When opening with Backup-creator.exe i get the error "could not get partition title key." any one know what this means or how to sort it?

If I burn the games without creating another title all I get when attempting to play it is a green screen.

Where am I going wrong????????

Note. THAT method is WAY outdated.

just burn the UNTOUCHED .iso using Imgburn (write image file to disc) and run it on your Wii using Neogamma v6 (check the link in the sig for the channel .wad)

To install a .wad you will need a Wad manager 1.4 inside of your apps folder on your homebrew SD card.

1) Backup Launcher is old. Neogamma is new http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=158884
1A) to get the Neogamma Channel http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=165485
2) Superdump (Requires homebrew) dump your game in 30 minutes. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/780900
3) Make your Wii skip updates! Use preloader 0.29 and enable skip updates. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Preloader
4) Scared of Bricking your Wii? Make an NAND backup! Install BootMii http://bootmii.org/install/
