OK had my softmodded wii working on my network. Then I went and changed ISPs to one that uses adsl2 - got a wee adsl2 modem with my signup package.

So turned the router functions off on my old router - turned DHCP off on the old router so now is it working as a switch only (as new modem is DHCP router). Set the new modem to issue the same ips as the old one did and set the gateway the same ip as the old one.

Plugged the new modem in to a free port on the switch. all my pcs happily connect to the internet but the wii wont.

The wii finds the access point but refuses to work on the net

Im using WEP which was previously working.. might try mac addressing everything and having no secuirty.

any ideas?

Fixed it. Changed AP to run on channel 11 instead of channel 1. Turned WEP off and turned on mac addressing

hehe you answred your own question. I've learned its easier to manually set them up than fight with them.
