I have a nintendo wii and it connects via my wireless router. I also have the internet channel. What I would like to do is is have the Wii see my folders and files on my computer so I can look at photos, movies or other video from my computer to my tv. Is that possible?

thank you

http://www.qj.net/How-to-connect-your-Wi...pg/49/aid/78121

Now, since the Wii cannot load your PC's actual programs onto the console itself, this just teaches you how to connect to and interact with your computer. For the Wii to run programs, you'd have to have the application hosted and installed into the console. Unless of course, this how-to could be exploited and allow some FTP support in the future... Now that's a different story.

1) Backup Launcher is old. Neogamma is new http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=158884
1A) to get the Neogamma Channel http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=165485
2) Superdump (Requires homebrew) dump your game in 30 minutes. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/780900
3) Make your Wii skip updates! Use preloader 0.29 and enable skip updates. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Preloader
4) Scared of Bricking your Wii? Make an NAND backup! Install BootMii http://bootmii.org/install/

Well I didn't figure the Wii would be able to run programs but I assumed I could watch avi files, but after reading some more on this, the Wii won't play movies, right? Maybe I should buy a used playstation?

thanks all for your responses.
