I'm going off of my neighbors router right now on my laptop and they gave me their key for the wii but it never lets me connect on the wii. i've even changed the type of security. am i supposed to pu spaces in betwee the ssid #?

All of the settings have to match what they have for the Wii.

SSID must match EXACTLY.

You should be able to do a wireless search and just choose their SSID. No need to put it in manually if it finds it when it searches.

You do have to have the same security setting (WEP/WPA/WPA2 etc. etc.) and the correct passphrase.

Provided that they have their radio turned ON.

I turn mine off just to make it a little harder for freeloaders to piggyback..

However, it's not likely that they're savvy enough to do it.
