Bricked Xbox360...What can be done?e drive

I opened my Xbox360...no issues...tried using textbook.pdf to hack my DVD Drive (lite-on) didnt work was told to use JungleFlash...stopped for a bit to play a game then went back to hacking the and the system would not turn on so i could eject the drive half way...I bought the system used and the white case is dinged up (not from hacking) and bought a tool to allow the drive to be powered just sitting near the PC no Xbox360 needed and i wanted to know if it is worth sending to microsoft...i filled out a work order and cauculated shipping $14.75 is it worth it?
if not what can I do? all microsoft stickers are intact...thanks for reading
