I just bought a HP HDX18 HAS A eSATA port- I think you need to know the chipset - this has a Intel PM45 Chipset- This chipset seems to be found on a lot of mid-level gaming machines. I have a 360 with a BenQ and a one with a Lite-on Drive. I would like to try the Ben Q first as I know it is easier.

I have never done this- but was fine doing the X-CLamp total fix. What would I need?- I have seen this question asked, but not really much in the way of helpful answers. I know very little about this eSATA stuff. COuld I simply get a eSATA to SATA and connect it to the DVD drive in the 360 and run the jungle software to mod it?

1. What would I need?
2, How would it work? Thanks

download that and it will tell you step by step how to flash, its laid out in simple terms so everyone should be able to understand.

Thanks for the reply

I have used this tutorial for making copies on a pre-modded unit before. The first thing I read is that for BenQ/Lite-ON/Phillips drives (basically all the more recent drives) - That you will need a VIA or NForce SATA chipset (others require soldering)- How do I know my "SATA" chipset? I can't open up my laptop-I know my "chipset" is Intel PM45, but is that same thing as a "SATA CHipset"-apologoize for my ignorance on this.

Also, after looking over this tutorial it seems pretty "old school" -I have seen much easier looking methods on youtube. The problem is that I haven't seen even one tutorial on flashing with a laptop. In the past I just kind of thought the hell with it (I only have a laptop), but I thought maybe with this new laptop (which has a eSATA connection (next to a USB)) that maybe it was MORE possible? I'm sure that there is some way to do it, but no one has really taken the time to share the accomplishment ANYWHERE on the net.
