No offence lads, just something to think about.
thanks
Deco
Well said Deco, while these lads are very helpful, I detect an extreme level of hubris with them, reading through various threads.
So I tend to leave them to their little kingdom and glean whatever I can from staying in the background, because you have to be very careful asking questions on here.

Now a troll joins in a well :( hubris I will leave to you. I replied to you before and was I not courteous in my reply? http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/717894
Deco it was a joke end of. If you took it any other way sorry. You will see I am courteous to all. I do not believe in rankings so the elitist bit flies right over my head.
No one is a newbie here, I never liked that word. I have made thousands of posts here in reply to various people and I usually have a bit of banter.
Take it as you will I know others have afforded me with the courtesy I have afforded them.
You asked me to ignore threads, I don't because if we all done that whats the point in calling it a forum.
In closing I will make no more jokes :)
Plus what Mick said below :)

would you not get a bit whacked off answering the same thing? when its in front of people, if people want to join in, contribute and help others, it does help by following some basic rules thats laidout, reading some threads, it helps others find the info easier and better, half the battle is it not? Better than the "my box is broke help" threads
and regarding this thread, what started out as joke if you actualy read it, its a bit of ribbing

Originally posted by MICKAH: Sorry Deco, but where are ya going with this? You insulted people with yer remarks about peeps having a life and what not when scouser indicated he was having a bit of fun, which if anyone reads the thread will plainly see,
Elitist? wha? people will help others as much as we can and when we can, the reason help threads are created is to help and to direct newbies and help cut down on pointless rambling threads when its been covered already with the help thread,no probs adding to them, no one wants to be wading through piles of threads when its the same thing, so what your saying people should ignore newbie threads so they can catch up? Do ya not think if they search or read the existing ones it serves the same purpose
I dont have a any problem with anyone, newbie or not, so I dont know where your getting that from, like I said before to others, I will call a spade a spade and if people dont like it, thats their problem, not mine, but I wont steer anyone wrong as best I can. At least you will always know where ya stand with me. I think you should re-read the thread and see the humour in it and what scouser was alluding to with joking.
listen lads i was joking with you too, jesus your to into this...
anyway sorry ya had to read another thread and take 2 mins outta your life..
i promise it won't happen again...
at least i helped one guy to get his box going again, so all is not lost.
Once again my appoligies.
Deco
sake....

another definite case for having a 7 day embargo on questions/posts from newbies, gives them plenty of time to read previous posts & bring them selfs up to speed on current topics.
