kopkidda i can't find where to enter the 1968. I've an ex 5000 PVR. I can get the menu, language, and then 4 options all of which are set to ENGLISH. Emulation is enabled. Just can't find out where the 1968 comes into the equation. Can you guide me please.

I have the same issue... although can't even see where "emulation" is set to either on or off?

i'm not getting all the channels i had before getting around 100 also getting some channels listed ch 1 ch2 ch3 etc and they are giving me a flickering picture should i flash it again. Don't get me wrong i'm not complaining delighted to have the rest back

go into settings, turn on signal boost and rescan the box

LeTiss when you press menu and then go into language you will have 4 lines on the screen I think, then press 1968 and a 5th will appear saying emulation, this has to be set to enabled, if yours is set to enabled then this is correct,save and exit out. Make sure the cable is in the rf in at the back.Hope this helps.

turned on the signal boost the channels came back named but still flickering any more ideas its lfc home and a few more still gettin a few unnamed as well also for some reason when i take a loop of the back of the box to another tv i lose signal on the main box

sounds like a low signal? do you have any splitters eg:to feed other tv's, or is cable going direct from port in wall to box.

cable is goin in direct no splitters and it worked in this box before they were shut down about 6 weeks ago

Read the KOPKIDDA post 4 or five posts above yours and follow that.
When you enable emulation save and exit.

thanks for the help so far i feel so close i just need a push over the line,i done the 1968 and the emulation is on enable and saved,i have all channels listed but all except 3e and rte say scrambled channell. any ideas?

yea mate flashed it 9 times now,i have the same box as u, one thing? when i am flashing it it only says dnld on the screen when its flashing.... should it not say dnld and flash or something?

Final suggestion superreds.
I have just flashed my friends PVR box. It was a little more complicated as we didnt save his channels so had to do a full power scan. Before I did the power scan I did the language 1968 enable we spoke about earlier. After the powerscan completed similar to yourself i could only get 3e and majority of other channels were scrambled. I went back into menu language settings (and I noticed that there was only 4 language settings i.e it had reset what i had previously done.) My final suggestion to you if you are still getting the scrambled channels is try one more time to go menu language settings 1968 go down to the 5th box emulation enable it and then press green button(save and exit). This has solved the problem for my friends box. All channels now being received.
If you have tried all this i can only suggest your box may be a clone? I hope this works for you now mate
