i recently bricked my wii system I had softmii 3. files with 2.9.5 i accidently used the preloader from soft mii 3.0 not 2.9.5 i started the install with softmii 2.9.5 then i used the preloader from 3.0 figuring it was the same one and now i sit and stare at an unresponsive black screen.. what can i do to avoid sending it to nintendo..

For a backup i've already bs'd the big N into thinking i lost power during a wii update and i have the black screen i already have the shipping label but i would hope to fix it myself.

Note i was on 4.0 then it said sytems files were currupt and all went wrong when i attempted to downgrade through home brew :-(

No idea what you're talking about. If you need help, take a moment, catch your breath, and type something that might help someone help you.

What firmware are you on and what region?

What were you doing exactly when you bricked? You had Softmii 3.0 installed but preloader 2.9 or something? Please explain in detail so people can try to help you.

Can you go into preloader at all?

Hold the reset button down while turning the system on.
