okay the dude flashed my lite on with 1.6 but. for future reference i wannna know how to upgrade it in the future. do i gotta probe it again. and no i dont have the original key its saved on to the guy that flashed my xbox's computer.

No worries. You don't have to use the probe and you can dump the dummy bin that is flashed to the Lite-ON. Follow this tutorial:
