ok i just bought a xbox 360 yesterday, didn't even open it up, took it straight to a local modder and he modded it for me.
but now i'm trying to read up on how to play backups on xbox 360 and i'm so confused.
basically, i want to play online and be safe.
what's this stealth patch thing? do i just get the game iso, patch it with the stealth patch then start playing online?
and what about different regions and stuff? i'm in canada.. i can only play ntsc games online?
is it safe to get any game iso, burn it on dual layer dvd and start playing on xbox live and don't have to worry about getting banned?

Use ABGX v1.0.1 to check all your ISOs. http://www.abgx360.net

The ISO must have stealth info otherwise iXtreme won't boot it.

NTSC/U or Region Free.

It is never 100%. The firmware and stealth checking with ABGX is as safe as you can get it.

Or you can use a program called DVDMulletor<--- or something along those terms. Google it. It tells you if the ISO is patched, stealthed, what region, what system, everything. Pretty good.

Mulleter is out-dated and will throw errors when trying to scan a Wave 3 game.

ok, i also forgot to ask this.
you know, xbox lets you install games to the hard drive, right?
so is it safe to install backup dvd's onto the hard drive, play it on xbox live?

It lets you install games to an original MS harddrive (or a clone of an original MS harddrive) but in order to play them you still need the game disk inserted into the drive. You are as safe or unsafe on life with this than you are when playing only from dvd.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

ok then, should i install them onto the hard drive or just play from dvd?
what's the difference and what's the point of installing it onto the hard drive exactly? (if you still need to keep the dvd in the tray)

depends on how much you play the game . if its a big game and takes a while loading like grand theft and halowars ect install on the hard drive will speed it up a little bit ..plus its handy to save the life off your dvd drive really . each game is 6.4 gig each so a 60 gig or 120 gig be best or like me 2 games on a 20 gig hdd lol
pal ps3 slim 120gb hdd version great
