guys i recently sent my 360 for repair cuz it had e74 error it had a benq drive.
so after it came back from repair i found out it had the new 2008 liteon drive.
my question:-
what my doubt was has ms replaced my mobo too?,im a bit confused here cuz my console serial id is the same as before sending to repair,it has not changed(even in dashboard).
so plz clear my doubt.(or is there a way ms could replace drives only and not mobo)......plz reply

ps:my id has ps2 in it but it was created way too back so take it lightly haha!!

You can shine a flash light on the bottom side of the 360 to see if you notice the new heat sink. Unless your console already had it. Or, just open up your console to check it out.

just heat up the sticker and save it so you can disassemble the consle and check it out.

Without sending you to do too much reading ... I can assure you that your motherboard has been replaced along with the DVD drive.

MS simply recodes the new motherboard with the *(old serial number and console ID).

As of the past few months in 2009, MS has also been reprinting the stickers found on the back of the console containing the same info* with the new manufacture (repair) date.
