this might be a stupid question. But what if i took apart my 360 hard drive and took out the hard drive, plugged it into my computer. Then cloned the drive to a bigger hard drive, maybe a 500gb or so. Expand the hard drive partition that is used for storing the media ( i don't know whether the xbox hard drive has multiple partitions for different things) to the max. Then plug that hard drive into the sata and power cable in the hard drive casing and then boooooooommmm a bigger hard drive for storing games....or am i wrong? In theory that it would work if the xbox isn't checking for the hard drive size. Which i doubt it does.


Also are there any mod chips that allow you to play games off your hard drive without the game being in the tray? i know there isn't a soft mod. i hate wasting dl dvds ) :

You can already do that, but you need a western digital bevs hdd (there are some others) and the max size is 120gb.

And it's not a waste of a DVD-DL if it's burned correctly.
