I'm new to the afterdawn scene whats the story with this newbie thing i have to wait 3 minutes after i reply to messages how long do i have to wait before it will upgrade

Hi I'm new to this site aswell, I have just got a new Kryptview box and have been trying to install the channels for some time. Am living in Swords area of dublin, but am only getting some of the channels, have been trying to install them manually using info and codes received on this site. However, still do not have any of the local stations, i.e. bbc, utv, channel 4 etc. Also, should we get the Disney channel etc. aswell? have got many of the others using a combination of ch***s and N*L codes. Does anyone have any more codes I could try as this thing is really getting the better of me.

i had the same problem with my cousins kryptview are you working off of the mmds system or have you gor the main cable coming in

who is your provider?
have you put the latest firmware on and do an automatic search
eg: network[ok] = n*l
channel search type = network

Hi hooter i read ur reply to one of the threads about the user status going up im a member since 2007 and only 2months ago my status when up so how do you mean after a few help outs and replys it will go up cause mine never went up and i give a my share of help outs and reply ! ! ! !

Yes, I have all the correct firmware installed. My provider used to be Ch***s then we recently changed to U*C N*L digital, and have been scanning manually following all the instructions given on this site. We have quite a number of channels, but are still not able to get UTV BBC or Channel 4 or Disney etc. its bloody annoying and addictive trying to get new channels!!!!!!!!!

are you using splitters for other tv's to work in your house?
also are the channels there but you just cant see them?

No,we are not using splitters for other tvs. Can't see the BBCs ITVs or Channel 4s at all. Have all the other ones like S*y etc just seem to be one or two codes missing to complete the installtions.

here is a list of all my tp's
i take it you know how to put them in manualy

371.50, 372.50, 402.00, 418.25, 444.00, 452.00, 579.00,

i dont think i need all of them myself but that is whats on my list for n*l hope they help.

Thanks Hooter 007, I have tried all of those codes, some of which I had already. I did manage to get a few more stations, but not BBC 1 or 2 or ITV or Channel 4 etc. Got BBC3 and BBC4. This is really starting to bug me now!!!!!!!!!!!

did you put the new firmware on, it came out on 13/7/09 and it does an automatic scan for all your tp's that you are missing?
also what is your quality & signal strength

Yes, Hooter, the new firmware was installed. I have 18 TPs and the signal strength is roughly around 77 and quality in the 80s. I'm sorry for being a bloody pest!!!

no problem on been a pest,lol
ok now that you have a few more tp's i go to installation, automatic search
network[ok] = n*l
channel search type = network
press the green button
that should give you the tp's you are missing and let it scan
when finished
then go to system settings, other settings and turn power search mode on, when you put your box on standby for a while the rest of your missing channels better come in other wise ill be up with my hammer,lol

AFAIK Swords is Chorus Cable or NTL MMDS.
Haven't been in any houses that are NTL Cable
What symbol rate are you using? If your getting stations on 6887 you are on 'ntl mmds' and here are the transponders

I was getting stations on both the NTL and the Chorus 6887 and I'm not at home now, but I think on 6875 also. So not sure what I'm on exactly!!!!!
