Newbie and assistance needed.

I have downloaded Wiigator Gamma 002 fix and some games which previously had the 002 error now loads. Unfortunately some still do not load. They are Indiana Jones, Sims Racing, Quantum, Family Ski and a few others. I on 3.4e, tried updating cios38 rev13 using ios249 but it fails with an error = -1.

Does Gamma 002 fix have anything to do with the ios249 error and any advise to remedy the situation. Very fustrating and help is greatly appreciated.

I would uninstall Wiigator and download NeoGamma R6 since it is more up to date then Wiigator.

The -1 error your getting is probably due to you selecting WAD Install as the instillation option. If you have selected WAD Install then you should have IOS38-64-v3610.wad at the root of your SD card.

If you don't have the IOS38-64-v3610.wad file then change the instillation option from WAD Install to Network install (press right on D-Pad 1 time) so it uses WiFi to get the proper file.

I would also recommend updating to firmware 4.1 firmware. After you update run IOS60Patched.wad and run IOS Downgrader.

Thanks for the post. Will give it a try.

As for updating the firmware, are there are risks with bricking and what is the purpose of ios60 and the downgrader?

There is always a risk when updating firmware no matter how you do it.

But if you just update and do not turn off the system then you should be perfectly fine.

IOS60Patched.wad patches IOS60 so you can play VC/WiiWare games from SD Card and go to the Shop Channel.

IOS Downgrader will downgrade and patch all other IOS so the Trucha Bug exploit can still be used.

I updated to 4.1 and followed your instructions and works a treat. Thanks. Only thing I haven't done is the downgrader. Is this step really required?

Must we use ISO downgrader everytime we update the firmware?
