Hi,

I have read the guide and I am very confused by the several methods of soft modding the wii. I am a beginner and want to know if someone is willing to help teach me the easiest way to mod my wii.

just follow the New and Improved Wii Softmod guide step by step and you will be fine.

I reccommend also completing the guide at the end of the New and Improved Wii Softmod guide called Loading backups from the disc channel.

Do the New and Improved Wii Softmod Guide, and when you done, click the link and complete the Loading Backups from the disc channel guide.

Done it four times know and it works like a charm.

All the help you need was already given when the author of the guide took the time to write down step by step instructions complete with links to all the files you will need.

Make sure you wii has wifi and is connected, and then get an SD card, and follow the steps.
