What is the ghostbusters issue?

It boots Ghostbusters fine. But I didn't notice an issue with Ghostbusters using cIOS38_rev13 either.

This new cIOS is going to have some new applications that it can be used for.

The most I am waiting for is NAND Emulation. When this new application is released it sounds like will will be able to put a NAND backup on an SD/USB device and actually run the Wii system files from that. The new WAD Manager 1.5 (which is out now) looks like it will install WAD to the backup NAND on the SD Card which in turn will not mess with the real NAND in the system itself.

I also heard that we will be able to load VC/Wiiware WAD files stright from a SD/USB Device.

Is this a backup disc? If so it could be a burn issue. If you load it with a USB Loader then it could be a bad ISO backup. Because I have had no issues with loading it from USB Loader GX.

Then maybe it's the .iso you are using to burn the disc. Downloaded .iso's cannot be relied on all of the time. And even if the downlaoded iso was good, it could get corrupted through the PAR/ZIP process, during upload, or during the actual download. All it takes is 1 corrupted byte to ruin your copy.

I cant get this to install. Using Custom IOS Installer 2.0. I've tried IOS versions 35, 36, 38. I've tried WAD install and Network Install. All Contents are added successfully, but when it says Installing Custom IOS, please wait...
I get >> Install ERROR! (ret = -2011)

What am I forgetting?

I've got 4.1U.

Did you follow the NEW AND IMPROVED SOFTMOD GUIDE?

This downgrades and patches IOS35 so you can install the cIOS.

If you didn't do this step then fond the guide and follow it.

I followed the guide before when I was at 4.0U. When I upgraded to 4.1U I did the ISO60 patch. I tried using the DowngradeIOS35 again after updating to 4.1, but this time it told me I was a pirate :(

Do I need to downgrade again after updating firmware?

I tried using IOS Downgrader and got an -116 error.

Any other ideas? Thanks again. U da man

Does anyone know if this version allows peripheral equipment to be used while a USB hard drive is plugged in... i.e. Rockband 2 instruments? I have hermes cios 222/223 for that purpose and it works, but am curious to know if cIOS38-rev14 now supports instruments without the need for hermes cios to be installed as well?

pmaknelho did you resolve this? i had previously followed the 4.0 guide so just followed the cios38_rev14 section

it showed 18 added successfully
19 added successfully
20 added successfully

then

installing custom ios please wait
install error! (ret = 2011)

while i was there i completed the ios60patched upgrade successfully

what now please?

Did you have a cIOS before you tried to install cIOS38rev14?

Edit: If not then the downgrade IOS35 part of the new and improved guide is for fixing that.

i had previously downgraded ios35as part of the guide that included the cios38_rev12 I believe

what is the impact of trying this againa nd are the current notes correct? it says to use 35 to install 35?
Downgrade IOS35:

This section will downgrade and patch IOS35 so we can install a cIOS.

Start the Homebrew Channel and run DowngradeIOS35 from the Homebrew channel menu.

Go up and select "Downgrade IOS35" (skip patchmii and dvdx).

After it downgrades IOS35 go down to "EXIT" and it should exit to the Homebrew Channel.

Run WAD Manager.

Select A to agree to the disclaimer.

Select IOS version to use: <IOS35> Press A.
Select source device: <Wii SD Slot> Press A.
Go to IOS35.WAD in the list and press A.
Select action: <install wad> press A.
