I sent one out on a Wednesday and received it 7 business days later on a Friday. 9 days total including the weekends. Will probably vary a day or 2 depending on your location.

well believe it or not, its a benq. not sure how as its a 'new' console with the same case. and it had a hitachi when i sent it in. so who knows.

Whoa, thats crazy. What the manufacture date of the BenQ?
I just sent in a XBOX 360 with a BenQ, so I'm curious if I am going to get a 83850C Lite-ON.

Hmmm.. well I guess it is nice to get a BenQ at this point. Since there is the issue with the 83850C Lite-ON. I'll post back next week sometime and see what Microsoft did to my console.

Just got my fourth one back today and all of mine took 2 weeks exactly. I think it all depends on how close you live to the repair centers and by the way most of the time they do not send back the same unit that you send them. They have people repairing these consoles constantly so they have a stack of them and send you a different one and sometimes with a new case but not new internal parts. The way you would know if it is not the same is you have to reprogram your controllers if you get a different unit. I know because I have reprogrammed everytime I get one returned to me. Here is a real good one for you guys. I sent in one console with the drive completely erased and they sent me a replacement with nothing at all said and that is why I say they send you replacements. You just need to make sure that you have a MS seal on them puppies which you can aquire on the infamous ebay don't you know. LOL

I do not believe I mentioned anywhere that it was impossbible to get back the same console and since you brought it up then why do they send a letter most everytime stating that we sent you a replacement console so would not have to wait as long and you will have to reprogram your controllers etc etc etc...... I am just stating my view and the way I see it and if you see it a different way then ok but quoting my statement does not make yours anymore correct so what exactly was the purpose?

How do you not understand the purpose of my statement, I was simply saying that just because you had to re-sync your controllers does not mean you got an entirely new console. All the consoles I have sent in have been returned with a different drive (except for my benq's)... all repairs include a new dvd drive.
The purpose of forums is too discuss/improve/correct other users topics/ideas/posts... if you do not like people quoting your posts you shouldn't be using a forum.

I sent our xbox back to MS last year because of the 3 red lights..
I had modded it and when it happened figured my warrenty was up so sent it to a bloke online to fix which he did but then 2 weeks later it happened again....
So I chanced my luck and called MS and explained the case had been opened and the seal was torn because of this and they told me to send it back anyway..
I reflashed back in my ORIG.Bin and sent it to them and got it back within 2 weeks from Germany apparently.
I got a complete new xbox case as well except for the dvd drive I got my old sammy ms 25 back with it which I was very greatfull for as its easy to flash..
Im guessing they would have had to get the key out of the old drive to program the new board and chips with cause I can still flash the drive using my old key from the orig.bin file i had saved.
